Lowcountry Electrical, LLC
Lowcountry Electrical, LLC is proud to begin sponsoring a U. S. Department of Labor State Licensed Apprenticeship Program (status pending). There is a high demand for qualified, licensed residential and commercial electricians in this area. We hope to help to service this area of need by developing our own Apprenticeship Program tailored to meet the area's specific needs. Please help this program by offering this company work opportunities for these learning individuals. Electrical wiring is not a hobby and MUST be supervised by a licensed individual. A Journeyman Electrician must have four years experience in the trade and requires documentation of two (2) years prior work experience under a licensed Electrician and successfully pass the South Carolina Journeyman Electrical Exam. A Master Electrician must have four years experience in the trade and requires documentation of two (2) years as a licensed South Carolina Journeyman Electrician and successfully pass the South Carolina Master Electrical Exam. Qualified applicants must be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or GED with satisfactory transcripts and/or appropriate records for all secondary and post-secondary education; must pass each section of the Basic Skills Test; must be physically capable of performing the essential functions of the occupation without endangering themselves or their fellow workers; must pass periodic drug screening; have a clean driving record OR own vehicle to use in this trade; must possess a professional appearance and be eager to learn and put forth their best effort at all times to complete this program. Our program utilizes curriculum used by Penn Foster which is already pre-approved for use by our State. Upon completion of this Apprenticeship Program, graduates will receive a Certificate of Completion from the U.S. Department of Labor Apprenticeship Program, Penn Foster Career Diploma, and must pass the Journeyman's Electrical Licensing Exam. Employment is secured with this company for a minimum of three years at this company's sole discretion. Graduates may pass the torch by continuing with our program to assist in the supervision of future apprentices. The first 6 months (approximately 1000 Hours) of this program is considered a Probationary Period and may be terminated by either party. Qualified applicants must file an application, sign an Apprenticeship Work Agreement, submit all required documentation for eligibility and be approved by the State. TANF, AFDC, and Food Stamp WOTC recipients are urged to apply. Please also include Form 9061, Form 8850 and WOTC Form with your application. Availability in our Apprenticeship Program is very limited. The commitments contained in the sponsor's affirmative action
program are not intended and shall not be used to discriminate against
any qualified applicant or apprentice on the basis of race, color,
religion, national origin, or sex. If you are a licensed electrical company who may be interested in obtaining more information about beginning your own Apprenticeship Program, please send inquiry to
